The History of Sushi101
In 2016 a customer came to me and asked for advice to increase the “buzz” about his struggling supper club (for those outside Wisconsin, a supper club is a wonderful restaurant/bar environment everyone needs on their bucket list). I told him of an idea I had been mussing over, let’s teach 50 people how to make sushi. It was a tremendous success and Sushi101 was born!
We gained followers in the early days by donating 10 and 20 person private parties to the Auction for Education yearly fundraiser. Slowly, the concept gained traction.
By 2020 we had put together a nice little operation and started promoting at an indoor farmer’s market at Badger State Brewery, including a very successful 2-hour, ticketed training event. We performed more than 100 events, teaching well over 1,000 happy attendees. Then the pandemic hit…
The past 2 years have seen tremendous growth in interest, and we are now poised to dazzle you with a fun, interactive experience in culinary excessiveness! We are based in Green Bay, Wisconsin and can bring this party anywhere in the world (although the travel charges do increase by distance but it’s worth it).
